Environment
ZELTECH locomotives use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry lithium-ion batteries. LFP batteries are environmentally sustainable because they are non-toxic and do not contain harmful heavy metals such as cobalt or nickel. The materials used in these batteries are easier to source ethically, which makes them a more sustainable option than other types of lithium-ion batteries.

What We Offer
ZELTECH offers a full range of 4-axle and 6-axle locomotives built on existing diesel-electric locomotive cores. By utilizing existing, proven locomotive components, such as trucks, frames, cabs, air compressor and brake systems, ZELTECH locomotives introduce modern, clean locomotive technologies to industry standard and proven systems. Most ZELTECH locomotive components will be readily identifiable and maintainable by existing shop personnel, while new technology components are easily learned and maintained with minimal training required.
